My Dearest Heavenly Father,
You are everything and the Author ( Alpha) and finisher (Omega) of my faith!
Thank you for entrusting me with your “Word”. Let the words of my mouth and the meditations of my heart be acceptable in your sight. Bless every heart that encounters theses online studies and always prosper your “Word”.
In Jesus name we pray…
Genesis 2:1-25 (Today’s Reading Verses)
Highlighted Vesese for today’s discussion  (Genesis 2:15-22)
My Thoughts and Commentary :
God created Adam for purposeful and meaningful work. This is why he was placed in the garden!
When GOD  blesses us with increase we are expected to take good care of it or to be good stewards. We are not to take an attitude of ownership of the gifts that GOD bestows upon us but instead we are to love and appreciate the giver of these blessings even more than before.
God commanded, or told Adam what he was to do in his new home. God said ” You can eat from any tree in the garden, except from the Tree-of knowledge of Good and Evil. Don’t eat from it. The moment you eat from that tree you’re dead.”
The woman was there with the man from the start as GOD created him, but at first GOD choose to allow her to live within Adam. But as Adam named everything else he became aware of the fact that he lacked a companion as the other animals had.
Do you see how our GOD helps us to become aware of a need (inside of ourselves) before providing an objective/outer solution to our longing? Adam had to discover for himself that he was better off sharing his life with a companion.
Adam knew he had come from GOD and that he had “dominion” over the other life forms and the ground or Earth herself but within his new found companion “Eve” he now felt he belonged to a community and this expanded or made him fruitful in his soul because he was able to share his, love life and world with his “wife”.
intimacy Means allowing one to see into you. Genesis chapter 2 verse 25 reads.
The two of them, the man and his Wife, were naked, but they felt no shame. Naked means in every way, not just physically.
Takeaway Study points:

  • What are some of the joys and frustrations of marriage?
  • What makes forbidden things so tempting?
  • What did God put in the middle of the Garden of Eden? (2:9)
  • What did God say was not good? (2:18)

  • How did God create woman, and what was Adam’s response to her? (2:21-23)
  • What would be the result of man becoming united with his wife? (2:24)
  • What is one thing you can do to improve your relationship with your spouse or a good friend?

For our next bible study; our reading and Study reference” The Message Bible” will take us  to the book of JOHN so that we can began to tie our learning of the Old Testament foundations into our New Testament revelations. A through knowledge of both is necessary and essential to being able to properly discern the “Word” of GOD.

Then we will come back to Genesis for chapters 3 and 4 before once again jumping to the New Testament in the book of JOHN.
