Fervid Friday Devotional – Faith or Speculation

Faith v/s speculation

Proverbs 20:6-7

Many will say they are loyal friends,
but who can find one who is truly reliable?

7 The godly walk with integrity;
blessed are their children who follow them.

So you have been wanting things to change in your world for quite sometime so that you can get your piece of the”American Pie”
and the lotto just became popular in your state and your desire for more is burning hot enough to consider legalized gambling. Besides, there are much worse things going on in the world than the state lotto and it does help with the education system, so by participating in the process  you’re helping someone other than yourself, right?

Keep in mind, none of this will keep you out of heaven, but for those that want to polish up the fruit of temperance, a divinely balanced virtue of displaying the right blend of reserve and force, come alone for today’s lesson!

Many in the body or Christ or The Church have often wondered secretly within their own hearts; what is the problem with legalized  gambling for self betterment, recreation and or relaxation on occasion?

It’s an issue of where or whom you are placing your hope and faith in from God’s perspective and HIS perspective is the only one that matters now and in eternity!

The Kingdom of GOD is an entire system and way of thinking, being and living. So, therefore it is a holistic process and all of our needs are covered within HIS system and we do not have to more outside and around it to prosper.

God is not pleased with our lukewarmness or the giving of ourselves in fragments or portions.

HE wants it all, because HE gave ALL to us first while we were yet sinners, HE died on the cross for our sins!!!!!!

The Bible tells us is impossible to please GOD without faith, that is faith in HIM! And prosperity is not just monetary but it entails the psychological and spiritual as well; when GOD gives increase it always starts spiritually first and trickles down into the other two realms.

What hurts God more than anything is when we love idols and not HIM and place our trust which should be kept safely in HIS care to another system.

In loving and supporting my King and Lord, Jesus Christ why would I in vanity by waste the hard earned  substance HE has given me the strength and intelligence to earn on anything that does not glorify HIM?

In the Kingdom of GOD we believe communication with GOD through prayer and HIS ability to bless and prosper us because HE created all that is. So,through the process called “faith” seeing without or past physical eye-sight alone, we happily place our destinies in the care of a loving, all knowing and holy GOD. The enemy is a cheap counterfeiter and many in the world seek though the sport of speculation, to get lucky. Gambling is unintelligent because it places one’s destiny in the hands of invisible dice or the process of chance.

When God is not sitting on the throne, who or what has taken HIS place in our hearts and minds?

Psalm 117:2

For he loves us with unfailing love;
the Lord’s faithfulness endures forever.

Praise The Lord!!!!

Fruit -Tasting and Matching Signatures -Fervid Friday Devotional

I love fruit each has its very own signature, aroma and taste 🙂

Fruit by its very nature is cleansing from a natural perspective and loaded with natural sweetness and to boot bursting with vitamins and minerals!

John 6-10 Message Bible

Jesus told this simple story, but they had no idea what he was talking about. So he tried again. “I’ll be explicit, then. I am the Gate for the sheep. All those others are up to no good—sheep stealers, every one of them. But the sheep didn’t listen to them. I am the Gate. Anyone who goes through me will be cared for—will freely go in and out, and find pasture. A thief is only there to steal and kill and destroy. I came so they can have real and eternal life, more and better life than they ever dreamed of.

Will you join me for a fruit tasting of the truth today?

Jesus Christ once said “I am the way the truth and the life and NO man can come to The Father except by me!”

These are powerful words spoken with great authority and no grey area!

The Perfect Man….

Was a high ideal in Greek culture. Written with Greeks in mind, Luke’s Gospel shows how Jesus Christ was the perfect man given as the perfect sacrifice for the sin of all people. Christ is the ideal human-the perfect model for us to follow. We must stand in awe of his character, which met humanity’s highest ideals as well as God‘s demand for an atonement for sin. He is, at once and the same time, our model and our Savior.- Life Application Study Bible

Back in the early 90’s my existence was at the apex of my living life on my own terms and I remember God sending a man into my sphere of influence that shared a bit of truth with me.

He simply stated to me either Jesus Christ is exactly who HE says the HE is “The only begotten Son of the Living GOD” or HE is not telling the truth at all! There is no middle ground, Jesus plays for keeps and HIS mission deals with life and death.

Perhaps, this is why Jesus does not like our lukewarm decorations of love and devotion, because there is nothing lukewarm about HIS going to the Cross for our sins.

When a person is hot or cold (either totally believing in him or not at all) Jesus can make dynamic things happen within both those context.

Roughly in the year 1999 or 2000 before I rededicated my life to Jesus Christ I remember seeing a portion of a movie on him and I had to admit even in my back slidden state at that very moment in time that Jesus Christ was the perfect embodiment of love and grace.

Even none Christians have a difficult time finding fault with our Savior’s character! That speaks volumes!!!

Jesus taught and still teaches the world much.

So much of the modern day “self improvement” movement are really biblical principles taken out of scripture format and used to serve more general life purposes.

Even the new age movement uses some of the teachings of Jesus Christ, such as Emmet Fox book “Sermon on The Mount” and there are many others!

We as believers know HIM as LORD and Savior and not just a master teacher with much wisdom.

In a world of lying spirits it seems when looking for the truth go to one whose character stands the test of time across multi cultural and religious doctrines.

The bible clearly tells us there will come an age in which people will not wish to endure sound doctrine.

Our final place of rest cannot be found in self-improvement pep talks and enlightenment affirmations/ statements and spiritual hype, propaganda and what is convenient and easy for us to follow.

Truth has a definite signature and if we are honest with ourselves we can all admit to character flaws but I know a man who had none… Jesus Christ and I have chosen to become HIS disciple and learn from HIS Holy Spirit and follow HIM now into eternity!

What about you?

Romans 14-16 Message Bible

Personally, I’ve been completely satisfied with who you are and what you are doing. You seem to me to be well-motivated and well-instructed, quite capable of guiding and advising one another. So, my dear friends, don’t take my rather bold and blunt language as criticism. It’s not criticism. I’m simply underlining how very much I need your help in carrying out this highly focused assignment God gave me, this priestly and gospel work of serving the spiritual needs of the non-Jewish outsiders so they can be presented as an acceptable offering to God, made whole and holy by God’s Holy Spirit.

Let’s Pray… Shall we?

Father God in heaven… In the name of your only begotten Son Jesus Christ, I want a relationship with the truth so I submit all my soul, my body and my desires, and my emotions to You and Your Spirit.  I denounce any conscious or subconscious attachments from in my past: past involvements, past emotional attachments and past premarital sexual relationships, I denounce the emotional, physical and spiritual ties formed by these involvements. I confess any ungodly spirit, soul and body ties as sin. I thank you for forgiving me an cleansing me of all unrighteousness, right now.

Release me from all soulish ties in the mighty name of Jesus Christ we pray.. Amen!

Worship Wednesday- Me Myself and Lies Bible Study Mid Week Update

Did you know that Hebrew name Pharisee means separated ones?

What thoughts do you need to separate from?

There are many ways  to come by faulty thinking!

A painful event in your life, constantly being around negative speaking people etc.

Have you ever struggled with unproductive or negative the thoughts?

A “label” perhaps placed on you by someone else?

Or, even perhaps unkind names you have spoken to yourself in those difficult moments in life?

This “label” although it may have some factual basis should not place a “fate” on you less desirable than the label itself!

Perhaps, someone told you that you were average looking?

Or perhaps you were told that your eyes their color or shape were unattractive.

As a result of being told that … what kinds of things did you began to think or envision?

Ultimately, labels should drive us back to the Word of GOD to find and speak a “faith” statement.

Our thought closets craves God’s Word so that we can put on the mind of Christ!

Reasons Why My Heart Sings-23

Each evening I read my sons’ a bible story.

Honestly, I think I enjoy them more than the kids!!!

God never fails to minister to that little girl in me as I read the stories for my sons’ spiritual growth:-)

Spending time with our children is precious indeed!

Living love ( Jesus Christ ) in a way to imprints itself upon the heart as treasured memories to be counted as more valuable than gold!

As a child I remember a neighbor that was a dear woman of GOD and she after working a long day at her place of employment would come home and take the time to sit down at her kitchen table and present snacks. But the icing on that cake is that this woman would take the time to share the bible-study with my best friend and I!

What impressed me so about this is the fact that this woman hardly knew me personally but opened up her heart and home to my friend and I!

I did not have the bible taught to me in my own home as a child! Which makes this act of kindness mean even more to me.

GOD always has a ram in the bush:-)

Bible study teachers are specially chosen by GOD!!

Mrs. Bolton I know that most likely you’re long gone from this side of life now and are directly in heaven worshiping GOD.

But that seed the God used you to plant into the soil of my life and heart is now very much bearing fruit:-)

I love you!!!

Isn’t HIS Throne beautiful, Mrs. Bolton?

Befitting such a magnificent KING of KINGS as our God!!!

Heavenly Father I want you to know that You fill me and fulfill me like nothing else can!

My gratitude list is going to be short but profoundly sweet this week.

I am so thankful being  that little girl sitting at Your feet just waiting for your next Word, smile, encouragement or even waiting for You to challenge me to reach for even more of You and Your wonders!

Thank you for knowing and reading my heart as if it were words dancing around on a piece of paper. You know me better than I know myself I look to You for all the answers.

I also want to share this poem that reminded me of some important things about GOD’s Promises!

What God Hath Promised -by Annie Johnson Flint

God hath not promised

Skies always blue,

Flower-strewn pathways

All our lives through.

God hath not promised

Sun without rain,

Joy without sorrow

Peace without pain.

But God hath promised

Strength for the day,

Rest for the labor,

Light for the way,

Grace for the trials,

Help from above,

Unfailing sympathy,

Undying Love.

Greed’s Shadow… Jealousy!

Jealousy can be used as a accurate map to what you feel is missing in your life! When we pay attention to jealous feelings and use them to look deeper inside ourselves, lives and ultimate values rather then using our jealous feelings to tear down and compete with others to the point of being hurtful and ultimately ruining relationships, then allowing GOD to speak truth through HIS Word and  via the Holy Spirit into our troubled souls we then are able to allow what was meant as evil to be used for our ultimate growth and good!

Jealousy in it’s rawest form is truly a problem of under-valuing our unique worth and value!

If you are not really clear on “who’s” you are then you may not be aware enough of how HE see you and the true value HE places on you!

We are to learn to be lovers and  people that delight in pleasing  God not winning popularity contest with people that are involved in the flaky ever changing standards of this world. Besides it’s insulting to God and it’s draining to operate as a chameleon being driven by idol worship instead of being God centered and driven.

So, what is something we can constructively begin to do in working out of the jealousy-trap?
Make a jealousy map!

What is this?

Start by folding a piece of paper into three columns and write at the top of the first column, “WHO I’m Jealous of.” On the top of the second column, I write, “WHY I’m Jealous of” and on the third column, I write “SO NOW WHAT proactive steps can I make internally and by way of bettering my craft to help me to move past this deadly UN–Godly unproductive  trap that I’m in?”

This is a very practical way of mining out feelings of being less others or feeling cheated  by the system!
God teaches us that life is not always fair and that trials will come but that we are to learn to trust in HIM as HE is sovereign and all things will work out for our good for those that love HIM

And my final warning please don’t fall into self-rightness and think that these feelings can not come even to haunt you as it’s prey! As the enemy of our soul’s desires to have each of us a ‘Wheat” to shift! But Jesus has already prayed for each of us ahead of time, that our faith in God, His ways, His Kingdom and His promises will emerge even brighter and more in focus than before the trial began!

Have you ever been a victim of the deadly poison of somebody’s Jealousy?  Have you ever been it’s prey, wounded by its toxic  venom as it came from the words of so-called friends, total strangers, co-workers on your job, even from family members? No matter who you felt the spirit of jealousy from, its purpose was to kill your hopes and dreams, steal your joy, or destroy your esteem and confidence. If this evil is left unchecked and unchallenged, it will do just that and more! Find out God’s remedy for dealing with jealousy no matter who it may come from.

The Word Became Flesh

We give thanks for our ability to come together today! Thank you for giving us the heart and mindsets to gather together in Your holy name and a want to have a closer walk with you and to “know” you in a biblical sense meaning to be at one with You. Help us to put first things first and by doing so all the rest will flow according to Your diving order. Father, we want to “first fruits” You with the first of our time daily. We pray that You will work your perfect work in us, until the Glory of your countenance radiates forth in our day to day living and the ordering of our very thoughts.  We Thank you in advance for what you are about to show and share with us in this lesson. Jesus, You are simply too “Good” to ever be forgotten!
Let every heart say…. Amen
John “The Apostle” states in his account of “The Gospel” simply refered to himself as “The disciple whom Jesus loved“. We’ll get back to this point at the end of our lesson!
Gospel is an Old English word that means “good news”. It translates the Greek word euangelion (eu, “good” and angelion, “message”), which also gives us words like “evangelist” and is related to words like “angel”.

The Word Became FleshJohn 1:1-18

In our introductory lesson on Wed we hit some important points in The Gospel of John 1: 1-2. Today, we will continue deeper into John 1:1-18 by pulling out a few key verses to focus on.
REMINDER: We are following the format from The Message // Remix Pause Daily Reading Bible but you will find many of my “study” references to include The New Living Translation or NLT . A comparative reading of scripture text provides the deepest level of understanding for any reader.
My two favorite bible translations are The Amplified Bible and The New Living Translation. Together they usually provide me with the necessary information that I need to let go and allow the Holy Spirit‘s deeper insights and revelations to speak to me, then through me. So, here just below you will read text from The Message, The NLT and The Amplified Bibles for this lesson.
John 1:2-5 (NLT)

2 He existed in the beginning with God.

3 God created everything through him,

John 1:2-5 Amplified Bible

2 He was present originally with God.

3 All things were made and came into existence through Him; and without Him was not even one thing made that has come into being.

4 In Him was Life, and the Life was the Light of men.

5 And the Light shines on in the darkness, for the darkness has never overpowered it [put it out or absorbed it or appropriated it, and is unreceptive to it].

John 1:2-5 (MSG)

2 in readiness for God from day one. 3 Everything was created through him; nothing—not one thing!— came into being without him. 4 What came into existence was Life, and the Life was Light to live by. 5 The Life-Light blazed out of the darkness; the darkness couldn’t put it out.

Takeaway Points:

  • The Word express and gives form to all manifested and created life! The Word is one of the names we call Jesus Christ. HE is that central focal point in which all that is spiritually alive needs to continue to grow and flourish.
  • Even when we do not recognize or we’re ignorant of the “Truth” or the “Light” or the “Life” we are still unable to snuff out it’s existence and ultimate worth. The root word in ignorant is to ignore.
  • Living under a self form of hypnosis and ignoring the “Truth” does not change reality but instead it places the one under such practices of hypnosis in a self-contained world inside one’s own head where we can be little gods and make up our own rules. This a form of  self-deception or”miscreation” and using gifts that God has given us out of His image and likeness to push HIM away instead of drawing nearer.  Just as Jesus The Word, draws His power from the father, we can do nothing that is alive outside of Christ!
