Any good parent invites their child/children into their hearts unconditionally loving them but there are times that a child’s behavior can cause a parent to have to correct and rebuke an action taken.

God The Father being the best parent ever invites and rebukes with HIS work through His only begotten Son Jesus Christ!

Archbishop Desmond Tutu stated…. ” I can’t for the life of me imagine that God will say. ” I will punish you because you are black, you should have been white. I will punish you because you are a woman, you should have been a man. I will punish you because you are a homosexual, you out to have been heterosexual. I can’t for the life of me believe that is how God sees things.

I agree with two out of three of what this Archbishop stated on the image to your left.

Allow me to explain. The first two examples are not identity issues but facts of God’s creation, coming up against carnal thinking. The third, is a result of an identity crisis. I will acknowledge that identity issue ( such as in the case of homosexual expression) are serious and are often not simply understood. In many cases of a sexual identity crisis such an individual has been sexually or, deeply emotionally abused or having been socially outcast to such a degree that one finds it difficult to fit in comfortably and if another group accepts them freely then a poor substitute for God’s best for them is often the result. The point being is that everywhere I look I see God’s people dealing with issues that seem insurmountable to them and then make decisions as to how to handle the problem according to their own understanding. God tells us in the bible according to…

Proverbs 3:-6

5-12 Trust God from the bottom of your heart;
don’t try to figure out everything on your own.
Listen for God’s voice in everything you do, everywhere you go;
he’s the one who will keep you on track.
Don’t assume that you know it all.
Run to God! Run from evil!
Your body will glow with health,
your very bones will vibrate with life!
Honor God with everything you own;
give him the first and the best.
Your barns will burst,
your wine vats will brim over.
But don’t, dear friend, resent God’s discipline;
don’t sulk under his loving correction.
It’s the child he loves that God corrects;
a father’s delight is behind all this.

All of our problems the ones that are sin related can be over come ( placed in subjection) when we give God first place in our hearts and lives! Our sexuality is not the be all end all and should never be allowed to sit in the drivers seat of our lives. We are created in God’s image and likeness and the grey matter up stair under the direction of the Holy Spirit brings true freedom and the ability to enjoy what God has given in the manner that is pleasing to Him.

At the end of our lives it is GOD alone that we will have to answer to not our bed partners or even religious leaders, but GOD almighty alone so it is only HIS ultimate thought on all of life’s concerns that should keep and demand our attention!

  1. fellow blogger juan castillo jr. wrote a really good blog of why he left the homosexual lifestyle after becoming saved, in short he said he wanted to be identified as a child of God not by his sexual identity. i think that is the motive of all Christians to be identified by God not by their sins:

  2. yalandarose… Thank you for your comment and I read your article on “Do I regret leaving the gay lifestyle and found it real, down to earth and honest. Your testimony God can use to help many others. May your walk with Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior become sweeter each moment of your days!

  4. In any event I wanted to encourage him as I scanned his blog post and realized the intensive interpersonal relationship drama he has had to endure. It is not they dislike him but their spirits no longer agree. But, it can plays out in interpersonal relationships.

    2 Corinthians 10:3-6

    The Message Bible

    3-6 The world is unprincipled. It’s dog-eat-dog out there! The world doesn’t fight fair. But we don’t live or fight our battles that way—never have and never will. The tools of our trade aren’t for marketing or manipulation, but they are for demolishing that entire massively corrupt culture. We use our powerful God-tools for smashing warped philosophies, tearing down barriers erected against the truth of God, fitting every loose thought and emotion and impulse into the structure of life shaped by Christ. Our tools are ready at hand for clearing the ground of every obstruction and building lives of obedience into maturity.
